Dispelling the myths
Myth - They are too expensive
Response - Not any more. The discount process available through the Npower A1-Boilers scheme mean that condensing boilers can be purchased through Plumb Center for not much more than regular non-condensing boilers.

Another Myth
Myth - They are less reliable
Response - Not now true. Manufacturers have learned from their experiences with the early models of condensing boilers and the components of modern ones are as reliable as those in the equivalent non-condensing boilers.

Building Regulations
Installations through the A1-Boilers scheme must fully comply with the building regulations 2001- Part L1. These regulations state that installers must provide a 'commissioning certificate' and that a benchmark log book is suitable for this purpose.
